"absolute joke of a service"

I have had serious issues with anger, extreme self harm (in which I cause myself serious injury in which I've had numerous operations) since the suicide of my dad when I was 8 years old. Ever since then I have had serious issues which have got worse where I am almost at the point of suicide. I go to my GP and they are very concerned. They transfer me to longbridge cmht and they give me an appointment which I have to wait a month for. At the appointment all they do I pass a leaflet and say phone this place. Do this do that. Told me to go to a creative place to knit and sing????? I took some advice and enrolled in Carr Lane counselling service. I finished the whole program. Then try the next thing which is birmingham healthy minds. They assess me and tell me that they are not the appropriate service for me and refer me back to longbridge cmht again. I got to my appointment at longbridge and same again they passed me leaflets. I told them I done counselling. They tell me to go to Birmingham healthy minds. I say they have referred me to you as they said my issues are to serious for them. The nurse i seen was extremely rude. When I got frustrated the nurse in longbridge chucked me out and refused to see me. I have now received a letterr from them saying I was abusive to staff which I wasn't, and i will be offered no more appointments. I have been failed! if the whole point in there service is to hand out leaflets, my GPS could do that. Why get referred wait a whole month for an appointment, sometimes longerror, just to be dismissed and be passed around like I don't matter. I have seen 4 different mental heaLth services in birmingham and they all just pass me back to each other.

If something serious happens to me or someone else (I have explained I am a danger to myself and could be to other people) then you heard it here first. Long Bridge cmht have failed me! There is loads more that I haven't wrote. I could write forever about my experiences there. Although the reception staff a very nice, the nurses and psychiatrists treat you as an inconvenience and are rude. And then say it you who's rude and abusive. It was mental health awarecess week last week, and even someone with serious mental health issues cannot get help off a mental health organisation. I am thinking of writing anonymously to the newspapers beca use I am on my last legs I cannot cope any longer with how I am. And now I have to do it all on my own. You heard it here first if something happens

We are concerned to read the difficulties you outline here. We do often refer to other agencies as part of a care planning process but we would expect this to be mutually agreed as beneficial. In order to investigate this more fully we would need you to contact our Customer Relations team on 0800 953 0045. They will be able to liaise with colleagues in our complaints team who will usually be involved if a service is withdrawn in the way you explain. We would be grateful if you could make contact so we can understand what has happened fully and be able to help you.
