"Told need urgent surgery in Feb still waiting"

About: King George Hospital / Urology

I was told in Feb I had a kidney stone and would need an op to remove it. I was ok as i was referred for Suspected cancer and was not in pain and had not had any. On 10th of March I went to Queens A&E in severe pain where a scan confirmed my Stone was now blocking the bladder. I was told to go King Georges and I would be staying in. Once at King Georges I had a 3 hour wait in A&E even though I was being admitted (so 7 hours in total) Once up on the ward I explained my allergies to certain antibiotics and latex plus that i had had a blood clot in 2001 none of this was noted until i was in the surgery suite the next morning when i was then given a red wristband. While waiting to go to theatre the radiologist said they had only 20 mins so they rushed me in and it was very scary going into the theatre and put to sleep knowing the were rushing it. I was disharged the next day with no info on how to live with a stent and what to expect. The staff were rude and did not care, I had to refill mine and the other ladies jugs myself so we could take our meds. staff were only seen at med times and if obs were needed. My canula came out when i was sleeping. when i woke i asked why the drip was still full the nurse said it was my fault as i pulled the canula out which did not happen. I revisited A&E on 4th may in extreme pain where urology told A&E to send me straight up where I waited over an hour for a doc to see me They asked me what Happened I told them it feels like the stent was dislodged. They then said ok Nil by mouth from 5am and we will operate tomorrow. At this point I phoned around the fasmily to arrange care for my 2 teenagers to the doc to come back after 30 mins to tell me they made a mistake and thought i was someone else. I then had to wait for them to speak to someone else as iwas in pain. they then sent me away with antibiotics even though i heard the nurse say my urine was clear of infection and to make an appointment for an urgent ultrascan to see if it had moved. The Scan date given was 2 weeks later so i left it as my op was due 21st May. Yesterday 17/5/17 I was called to be informed my op is cancelled due to an emergency (even though my op is not till Sunday as was for day surgery. How can you treat people like this not person treated me with the respect I give my own patients at work
