My husband started to feel unwell at approx 8.45, on Wed 10th May 2017, by 8.50 the paramedics had arrived. He was blue lighted into Broad Green Hospital at 10.30. The paramedics were wonderful, explaining everything to me whilst I was in the front of the ambulance. A team of doctors were waiting for him, he was quickly attended to & assessed and by 12 noon he had a stent fitted and was admitted onto the critical coronary care unit. His heart & pulse returned to normal the following morning & he was then transferred to Birch Ward. His recovery was remarkable & he was discharged on Friday 12th May, only 2 days following his heart attack. Every member of staff we encountered, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists and cardiologists were simply amazing. They were professional, calm, efficient and most of all kind & caring. I cannot praise everyone highly enough. This hospital is an example to all other hospital trusts throughout the country and should be used for best practice, highlighting the best ever patient-centred experience. Thank you for saving my husband's heart and for preventing me & our family from having a broken one. You truly are real life angels.
