"Children's Dermotology- changing appointments"

About: Princess Royal University Hospital / Dermatology

(as a parent/guardian),

I've been on a waiting list for my daughter to be seen since September last year, we received the first appointment for February but then it was rescheduled to May - we have now received another letter to say the appointment has been pushed back! It's really not good enough, she's suffering with terrible skin problems. I've called and enquired privately but cannot afford the £160 consultation. She desperately needs an allergy test.

My daughter is 2 years old and is in terrible pain and suffering all because the NHS keep changing our appointment, in the mean time I'm trying to do all I can to help soothe her pain.

We live in Bromley and I believe the GP we've seen have been terrible in misdiagnosing.

On behalf of King's, I am very sorry indeed to hear about the delays to your daughter's appointments at the PRUH for dermatology and to hear that she is in discomfort.

I would really like to help you to resolve this issue.

Can I suggest that, if you have not done so already, you contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service at the Princess Royal who will be able to advise on the best way forward. They are contactable by phone on Tel: 01689 863252 Email: kch-tr.PALSkent@nhs.net. If you have any difficulty getting through you can also contact me direct at jessica.bush@nhs.net - I am Head of Patient Experience. We would really like to help if we can.
