"Incorrect prescription"

About: NHS Trafford CCG

(as a service user),

I put in an order for a repeat prescription of Pregabalin oral solution at Boundary House.

After waiting 2 days and running low, my prescription had been put down for pregabalin capsules. Due to one of my conditions I cannot digest pregabalin in capsule form very well and I withdraw horrendously if I miss even one dose.

I told the receptionist that this was not what I had requested. The receptionist decided to tell me that it has "always been in capsule form", to which I replied that this has been orescribed my specialist pain consultant and that I've been on it for 4 YEARS!

I had to wait 15 minutes to get a new prescription, was nearly late for work and had to get it ordered it by the pharmacy which took an additional 2 days. So all in all it took me a week to get my meds. I've had my GP previously question why they can't prescribe the capsules instead of the oral solution to save money. I understand people take the mick but if I've been having it for 4 years and regularly request it then this shouldn't be questioned or not taken seriously.
