"Very disappointed- thinking of cancelling..."

Having suffered with pelvic pain for 3 years and been to various gynecologists, I was desperate to see someone who could help me. Unfortunately the consultant did not empathize with my pain, said it was not their area of expertise and there was nothing they could do for me except suggest I take HRT. ( I am unable to do this)

I went home in tears and started to think I could not contemplate living with this condition any longer. Chronic pelvic pain makes your life a living hell as you are unable to sit, stand, walk, lift etc and have constant nerve spasms. The consultant was not prepared to research this area despite many women suffering from this condition. There is plenty of information available for any professional who actually wants to develop their knowledge and help people. I felt dismissed.

Later the same week I found a . specialist in London who took X rays and diagnosed my condition. The treatment I had reduced the pain considerably and I now feel hopeful I can get better.

My advice is use the membership money to see a pelvic pain specialist in London- you won't regret it.
