I arrived at ward 20 on christmas eve 2016, i was in pain in various
places but the staff promptly and carefully moved me into a cubicle. The following morning by my consultant, i was told i needed a 12 week course of antibiotics, i must admit i was gobsmacked but if that was what was needed so be it. i was bed bound due to the infection but the staff attended to me exceptionally well. Then the physio came to me and got me to try some bed exercises, after 2 weeks i could now stand on my own 2 feet.
with all their help i then managed to start walking with a frame but the standard of care never dropped
All the staff supported me with everything i needed and more nothing was a problem. I was moved into a 2 bed bay but the attention i needed never wavered.
Eventually the time came for me to leave and i could not believe it there was tears everywhere and the staff nurse had gathered together a box of groceries she thought i would need as all my stuff would be out of date, so that shows how kind and considerate the staff are.
"A perfect service"
