"I have little idea of what is happening"

About: NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde

(as a service user),

I recently started getting Vitamin B12 injections at MaryHill health centre. While the Reception Staff at my GP practice and the Nurse in the Treatment Room at the Health Centre have been kind and tried to be helpful. I feel I have not had an explaination of my health problems other than not being able to absorb Vitamin B12.

I now have burning and what feels like being zapped by static electricity sensations all over my body. Looking on the internet it mentions pernicious anemia, neurological damage that if not properly treated could be permanent. It also mentions an increased risk of developing stomach cancer. Some websites also mention low folate and Iron levels.

Blood tests were done but other than antibodies mentioned and my thyroid stuff being ok, I have little idea of what is happening

I am in the dark, frightened and worried.

'Independent contractors' who are under contract to NHS Scotland who should be making sure that their contractors are supplying patients with clear information in the first place.
