"Horrific"

About: Russells Hall Hospital

Five years ago I was told I was pregnant with twins and had a 4mm cyst on my left ovary which would be removed upon delivery. This was not the case. Five years later, I am being told I have no option but to have my left ovary removed. No alternative treatment options have been discussed, just marched along pre op and sent home with a consent form. Oh and the passing remark 'you already have children so it's okay.' I acknowledge I am very lucky to have my daughters but ultimately my husband does not and it's so disrespectful to dismiss his feelings in this whole horrific experience!
