"Nurses are not angels!"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital / General surgery

Nurses are people like all of us and have off days too.

However, my nurses were all lovely, professional, friendly and very caring. Intimate tasks were carried out without fuss and we had some great chats.

Housekeeping and catering staff seemed part of the team and they too helped keep up my spirits.

Medics were there when needed and explained my treatment very well.

Ward rounds were a bit impersonal but I recognise that there are time and people pressures.

I had to be in the surgical centre over Easter - longer than expected but al; staff made it easier for me.

One main observation. For you it may be the thousandth time you have dealt with patients and performed tasks. For us, the patients, it is the first time.

Very well done all - thanks for looking after me and making me better.

Our staff take great pride in patient care and are always delighted to read such positive experiences from people visiting our hospital. Thanks for taking the time to feedback and we hope you feel better soon.
