"Outstanding Service"

About: Frimley Park Hospital / Accident and emergency

I brought my son in on Sunday lunchtime. He is currently at uni and this came up as the nearest A&E. I cannot thank you enough for the level of service we received. He has Asperger's, and has been self-harming and threatening suicide which all came to a head on a Sunday. The triage nurse could not have been more helpful and supportive, and the mental health person we saw was absolutely brilliant. I was worried we would be fobbed off and told to go to the GP on Monday (where, by the way, we couldn't get an appointment) but instead we were given the help and support needed. Now we just need to get an appointment with a GP, and get the community mental health visitor in place, then see if any medication is required.

I am so grateful for the wonderful help from everyone involved on Sunday, a very big thank you.

Dear Kate

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.

I'm sorry to hear that your son is unwell and needed to visit the Emergency Department.

We are lucky to have a great team who do their best every day to deliver great care.

It's feedback like yours that makes it all worthwhile. Thank you for thinking of us.

Best wishes to you and your son

Claire Marshall
