"I looked forward to every appointment"

About: Glasgow Community Services

(as a service user),

I have recently finished the Family Nurse Programme, and I am extremely glad to have had that opportunity and experience. I looked forward to each appointment both in pregnancy and during the two years afterwards. The nurse I was appointed was extremely helpful, kind and informative. I learned so much from the programme and was given fantastic opportunities (different classes etc), which I'm postitive would not have arisen without the programme. Not only was my nurse helpful with information and learning about my child, she was also very compassionate about me, and my health, which I am truly grateful for. I would love to see the programme offered to first time parent of all ages, as I found it extremely beneficial.

I work in a small team within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. Part of the team’s role is to support patients and carers through our feedback systems which will help to improve the services we provide. On Patient Opinion, I support Lorna Gray, Patient Experience Public Involvement Project Manager, and Niall McGrogan, Head of Patient Experience Public Involvement.

Dear Megan1

Many thanks for your lovely feedback. As we graduate our first group of young women and toddlers from the programme it’s great to get such a positive message and will help us to encourage other young pregnant women take up the offer when we start recruiting again.

We are so glad that you had such a great Family Nurse Partnership journey and we hope to see you at the graduation event!

Anne
