"Appointment at heart pain clinic"

About: Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Well looked after by reception, nurses and consultant.

Arrived 45 minutes early as there is no way you can find a parking spot. We eventually found one in the car park to the health centre eye clinic. This meant we then had to walk all the way uphill to get to the clinic. We arrived at the clinic at 3 pm our appointment time. My husband has a problem with his heart, ulcerated legs and has trouble with his breathing he also needs a walker. I went with him but have my own problems asthma,c.o.p.d,2 new knees polymialgia. Who on earth put a heart clinic in a place you can't get to or are unwell when you get there. I think this is most unacceptable for elderly people who have a problem finding the place let alone getting there.we had an appointment at the heart clinic in the hospital which was cancelled which is easy to get to for this. My husband needed an echocardiogram which he would have had at the hospital clinic,so now we have to go through this all over again. To get the echo before we can go back to see the consultant. This is definitely not good karma for elderly people twitch heart problems and general health problems.
