I arrived at the pacemaker clinic at 12: 00, at 12: 15 I was seen by a nurse who took me through all my preliminaries followed at 1: 00 by a theatre nurse who then took me through to the treatment suite for the procedure. At 3: 00 I was back at home following a 40 minute drive.

I received outstanding service from Dr Gennel and his slick, professional team. The clinic runs like clockwork without being cold and unwelcoming. The whole team made it a very pleasant experience for me.

My experience of the health service has been A1, this latest appointment was no different. My wife had planned to go into Ayr to do a spot of shopping, her plans were thwarted when one of the nurses said to my wife that she would be able to get a bite to eat and a drink whilst I was in the theatre, by which time I would be ready to be taken home. Sure enough, that’s all the time it took.

Dear Piper491,

Gosh, that is definitely not enough time to go shopping (and maybe have a wee coffee or a wee glass of wine too). You may not have been overly popular with your wife.

I will be very happy to pass this on to the team. It is really good for us all to hear, and it must encourage others who are waiting for the same procedure, to read of such a good experience of care from the 'slick and professional' team.
