"Very caring and thoughtful staff eased a scary..."

Referred for a colonoscopy by my GP, I was very nervous and had worried about the procedure and the possible outcome for some time.

However, everyone at the centre did their best to put me at ease from the moment I arrived and made the whole thing seems less scary. Their friendliness and patient understanding of my anxiety was a tremendous help.

And the whole process went smoothly and at all times I felt I was in the hands of experts which was very reassuring.

I want to thank the team who were professional and friendly at all times, and genuinely made me proud of our NHS.

And to anyone waiting for their first colonoscopy - in my experience, it's nowhere near as bad (if at all) as you think it's going to be. (Although I can't say the same about the laxatives you take beforehand - but once you're past that, you've done the hardest bit!)
