What could be improved

Living 200 miles away from the hospital that my mother is in, I find it unbelievable that the hospital does not have a phone that can be taken to patients so you can talk to them. My mother does not have the capability to use a mobile, so to say that the only way I can wish her happy birthday is for her to have her own phone is not helpfu! I was allowed to literaly say' Happy birthday Mum' and she had to give the phone back. Hospitals in Norfolk have 3 mobile phones on each ward that are for patients to use. And they say Norfolk is behind the times!

Anything else?

Get phones so that family can talk to the patients. We don't all live down the road from the hospital
