"Caring, friendly staff"

About: Hexham General Hospital

(as the patient),

I have just spent one night and two days in Hexham Hospital having surgery on a hammer toe bunion, (20th 21st September) and I cannot praise your staff enough.

Mr Reed was fantastic, coming to talk to me before the operation which was very comforting. Down in the operating theatre the anaesthetist and Sam were very friendly, making me feel totally relaxed.

Back in ward 3, the nurses were wonderful - Helen during the day and Barbara the night nurse. Geraldine, Rachael, Denise, Mary and Morague, and Margaret the physio, all made my stay a very pleasant one.

Thanks to everyone for such great care and attention. You must be very proud of your hospital staff.

I did have one embarrassing moment when Mr Reed came to see me after the operation and I was sitting on a bed pan!!!

I am now looking forward to getting back to the golf course in the not too distant future!
