My daughter was diagnosed by 2 psychiatrists from The Limes back in September 2016 as suffering from an Eating disorder and also OCD, a dual diagnosis. They said that the eating disorder was the primary mental health problem so she was referred to The Ealing Eating Disorders Clinic at St Bernards. This diagnosis was confirmed by the psychologist there who saw her twice for her initial assessments. She was then placed on their waiting list. She is still on it, we are still waiting.
She had been given an appointment last January to see a psychiatrist at The Limes. They decided to cancel it without even telling us, no telephone call, no text, no letter. It was rescheduled for last week. It now seems that OCD might be the primary mental health disorder because the psychiatrist has made a different diagnosis. We are possibly faced with yet another long waiting list because she might have to go to the back of the queue for treatment for OCD. What a mess! Either way, my daughter is still suffering, still has no life, can not work, can not have relationships and we are all left in limbo.
What is she supposed to do? She doesnt have the energy anymore to fight this.
