I just wanted to say thank-you so much to the team that looked after us after the birth of my son Thomas. Unfortunately my birth plan changed and I had to go to a high risk unit for his birth due to the colour of my waters in early labour. Due to local hospitals being shut i went to one a bit further away, After this I was transferred to the new forest birth centre, my original choice, and the experience left me going home with my little boy feeling confident with breast feeding and generally being more confident with him.
Thomas is my first baby and following an emergency C-section it was everything I needed i was very anxious to go straight home and to be honest I didn't feel physically up to it and a bit concerned i was doing things wrong as Thomas doesn't like sleeping and feeds a lot. I had so many questions that were all answered and I was given tips and advice which I have found to be so valuable in his first two weeks especially surrounding the time my milk came in!!! I even got help all through the night as Thomas wouldn't settle. They even managed my wound even though dressings and advice were different to the local hospital I am glad they got my dressing off and managed it while i was with them rather than when I went home.
My partner also left me in the evening confident we would both be looked after
Sincere thanks from the bottom of our hearts for being everything we needed :-) and more. Such an amazing service and hope to be able to join you for our second!!
