I was booked in for an elective caesarean last week. I had a very traumatic experience at a different hospital with my first child's delivery and therefore was extremely nervous and apprehensive. From our arrival at 7am we were greeted warmly and felt well looked after, during our short wait for the operation we were visited by a number of staff all providing really useful information and helping to put us at ease. The operation itself went very smoothly and all the staff in theatre were lovely to us, totally understanding our nerves. The anaesthetist in particular spent a lot of time with us and during the operation kept talking to us telling us exactly what was going on. The whole team gave us a birth experience to really treasure and we are so grateful. The aftercare was fab and everyone was so caring and efficient. We were home the following afternoon, my baby is doing well and my continued recovery has been great. I hope they know what a great job they do, thank you for everything.
"Excellent service!!"
