I went to Warwick Hopital A&E on my doctors instructions after complaining of heartburn.
I was seen straight away, diagnosed as having had a heart attack (big surprise since I considered myself very fit) and admitted to the CCU, no waiting.
After further monitoring, the following morning I was taken to Walsgrave hospital where I received an angiogram and stents. The day following that I felt fit and well and was released from Warwick with a fistful of medication and British Heart Foundation booklets.
The next weekday I was contacted by the rehab team.
I was well looked after, the food was quite reasonable and access and parking for my wife were good.
Full marks.
If I have a criticism it is that the recovery advice at the time of release and that from the rehab team were inconsistent.
Rehab team much more cautious.
