My stepson was given an appointment to see a particular doctor, but this was cancelled at 4pm the day before. My wife was told 'they ust won't be there tomorrow - they're normally not here on a Friday'. My son was due to have this doctor issue medication but this proved impossible. Therefore he is without medication and becoming more psychotic. I was told by the CPN the following day that he could not see the doctor 'because of an emergency'. My wife was told that they are not usually at the clinic. My wife discussed making an appointment next Wednesday and was told someone would get back to her. I telephoned the CPN today only to be told that my wife refused the Wednesday appointment. Our experience of Green Lane clinic is a continuous stream of cancelled appointments and inefficiency. In the meantime my son fails to have the care necessary to stop his psychosis.
