What I liked

Our son was admitted to the paediatric ward with bronchiolitis. Without exception each member of staff regardless of role did their best to explain everything clearly to us, and to keep us as calm and happy as possible throughout our stay. We were made to feel that we could ask anything about our son’s treatment and care, and that if it mattered to us, it certainly mattered to the staff.

My previous experience in hospital has been that one shift team may be more approachable than another, but what amazed both my husband and myself was how shifts changed so smoothly, all with equal professionalism and cheer!

Our son was always treated with the utmost care, and he is now almost back to his normal self - now with many more smiles!

I feel that all who work on Ward 17 should be congratulated for the excellent service that they provide, and without whose care this time would have undoubtedly been a very difficult period for us all. We remain so grateful to them all.

What could be improved
