What I liked

I would like to offer my personal thanks and commendation to ALL THE STAFF on the ‘John Proctor Ward’ for their professionalism and excellent qualitative nursing care.

My mother is currently a patient on the ‘John Proctor Ward’ and has commented to me on a number of occasions about the excellent care and treatment she has received since being admitted. Obviously, for an elderly person being admitted to hospital for any length of time can be a traumatic experience. However, the nursing and support staff, has made my mother’s stay at the hospital a very good experience, for which I am extremely grateful.

In addition, I would like to comment on my own personal dealings with the nursing and support staff on the ward. I have found them to be warm, engaging, caring and extremely professional. I am a public sector worker myself and I recognise how easy it is to allow ‘paperwork’’ to over-ride customer care and quality of service. I would like to say that your team have found the right balance between the busy demands of ‘achieving targets’, whilst maintaining wonderful nursing care and support for patients and visitors alike; thus providing an excellent health care service.

Lings Bar Hospital, and in particular, all the staff members on the ‘John Proctor Ward’ are, in my opinion, a shining example of the best of the NHS. The team are to be commended for their warmth and friendliness, for their professionalism and for providing excellent and qualitative nursing care and support.

I have personally written to the Nursing Manager at Lings Bar Hospital expressing the above sentiments.
