I chose to have a hernia operation at Lydney since it is nearer to where I live and there is no charge for parking! During my stay I was treated with courtesy by all the staff and they all respected my dignity. I was fully informed about what was happening at all times and made to feel special. Although one is forever glad that NHS hospitals exist one always hopes not to end up in one but on this occasion I can say that apart from the normal discomfort of the procedure it was a great day out!
