"2nd visit but there will be no 3rd!"

About: Pinderfields General Hospital / Accident and emergency

I was first admitted to Pinderfields last February via Ambulance from Pontefract A & E. I found the ward I was put on disorganised and some of the staff very rude. I was told I needed antibiotics by drip but the next day I still had not been out on a drip. I heard someone query why it had not happened and the answer was it had been overlooked. I was later discharged with oral antibiotics which I had a bad reaction to and ultimately went to my GP. My second visit was last week when I telephoned 111 and they said I needed a Ambulance. On arriving in A & E the ambulance crew took me to a Nurse to be accessed. There were actually 2 nurses dealing with me. They were both really abrupt in their manners and were very sarcastic in their comments. Apparently they attend work everyday in more pain and worse situations then people in A & E! I was then sent to sit in the waiting room for approximately 5 hours waiting to see a doctor. I was in servere abdominal pain and vomiting. During the time I was waiting I was shown kindness and concern by a Ambulance crew and a very kind hospital cleaner. Eventually I saw the doctor and they prescribed tablets for pain and antibiotics. Due to the fact I was still vomiting they gave me an anti sickness injection and also a morphine injection for pain. I was then sent on my way feeling very dizzy and light-headed. A few days later and feeling worse I attended a GP appointment and I was told that I should never have been put on the tablets I was given as they are not compatible with some of the medication I am permanently on and ultimately it could result internal bleeding. Now my recovery has been delayed.
