I went to the Alexandra for a total knee replacement on March 9th 2017.
Arrived at ward 16 a bit concerned but was soon put at ease and made ready for the operation with a casual ease. Anethetist came to see me and explained very very well what would happen felt calm afterwards. The epidural was conducted with every concern for the patient taken into consideration.
In the Theatre the surgeon came to talk to me before the operation.
During the operation i never felt a thing apart from the odd bit of pulling, and was always being talked to by people in the theatre to make sure i was ok.
The surgeon came to see me every day after the operation even on the weekend which i thought was very welcoming. during my stay at Redditch Hospital i was always put at ease and would reccomend the Hospital highly.
