Referred to Ear Nose & Throat Dept / outpatients for my son (age 6yrs). Suffering with Nose bleeds. I had been sent a choose and book option with a choice of Four hospitals. Hemel Hempstead is the closest. Appointment took just over a month of waiting.
On arrival at the hospital we were seen 10 mins. The Dr suggested that my son would need to be booked in to have the procedure (Cauterisation) carried out under anaesthetic. The
I asked if the treatment could be carried out there and then instead of waiting for an appointment for my son to be anaesthetized in a month as I thought he would be ok with it (having had it done myself as a child). Its not painful it took max 20 mins. The Dr was very good with my son. My son laughed during the treatment and was not scared at all.
