"I received great care all the way through this procedure"

About: NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service) Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / General surgery (Wards 9a, 9b, 9c & 9d)

(as the patient),

I took ill on Saturday night phoned nhs24 an ambulance was sent out within 15minutes and I was brought to the Queen Elizabeth hospital A&E department.

It was Easter Sunday and very busy but received excellent care and a scan within a few hours. I was admitted to a ward then transferred to another before having my gallbladder removed. All the staff porters, cleaners auxiliaries and nursing staff where great always there when needed and helpful and happy. I received great care all the way through this procedure and would like to thank everyone who helped me. You are all superstars ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Dear Susanh

Thank you so much for sharing your experience on Patient Opinion. I do wish you well and hope that you continue to recover.

Here at NHS 24 a positive patient/caller experience is what our dedicated staff strive to achieve at all times. We work very closely with our partner Health Boards to ensure that patients receive the required care in a timely manner. Your story is an excellent example of this. I will share your story more widely with our staff here at NHS 24 so that they can appreciate how they contributed to your overall excellent experience. I am sure my colleagues within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and the Scottish Ambulance Service will also be pleased to see your positive comments about your treatment as well.

Thanks again for sharing your story on Patient Opinion. It was a pleasure to receive.

With regards

Dawn Orr
