Hi, my Wife was experiencing a lot of abdominal pain, so I took her to the drop-in centre in Oadby.
The receptionist could see that she was in a lot of discomfort & put us in a side room to fill in the paperwork, which was very thoughtful of her.
Approximately 10 minute later a nurse came to us & immediately said that my Wife had suspected Appendicitus-Perritinitus, & sent for a Ambulance, the response & service was superb.
The ambulance crew arrived shortly afterwards & did the necessary, eg, pain relief, & took her to the LRI, service also faultless.
In the LRI they did the relevant test & myself & wife were taken to the General, again staff were brilliant.
We were then taken to Ward 28 where she was booked in & assessed, pain relief etc.
A little while later a Registrar came to see her & inform her of the procedure they would be doing in the morning. operation complete I collected my wife which by this time was feeling much better & brought her home.
The staff, Nurses, Registrar, everybody that was there were spot on, service was faultless.
I would like to thank them all for the care & attention they provide for my Wife, it was outstanding. All the best
"outstanding care of my wife"
