"The short period of waiting time ..."

What I liked

The short period of waiting time before I was seen. The efficiency with which the injuries were assessed. The confidence given me by the nurse who attended my injuries. The thoroughness and skillful application of the treatment given. The lovely sense of humour. The loyalty to, yet recognition of learning opportunity for those who had previously inadequately treated my injuries at Truro Hospital the previous day.

What could be improved

The length of time to treat my injuries at Truro hospital which resulted in blood clots drying in which were not fully cleansed from the wound before stitching. The stitching (5 stitches) was then inadequate for the size of the wound (10 and half centrmetres) and inadequate to join the tissues sufficiently to promote efficient healing. The stiches had to be removed and redone at Falmouth Hospital the following day as did the cast on my right arm. A totally divergent tale of two hospitals!

Anything else?

My particular thanks to the paramedic team who first attended my injuries in St Mawes. Efficient, Practical, and empathetic with good patient relation skills.
