"My Hysterectomy"

I was told i needed an Hysterectomy by my GP..to say i was scared is an understatement My appointment came through in what seemed next to no time..went for my pre op where everything was explained to me and came away feeling a lot happier knowing the procedure. On my arrival for my op 31st Jan 2017 i was nervous that morning, but soon my nerves were calmed by the excellent care and treatment given by the Nursing staff and admin..I met the Anesthetist who made me feel at ease with any worries i had left, all prepared i walked down to theater with a trainee who shared a few laughs with me on the way down..On waking in the hospital bed, i was treated very well by everyone, a kind person brought me a much needed cup of tea and a sandwich which was like a queens lunch having fasted before my op..My pain management was excellent, On the day of my leaving the hospital my meds were ready and waiting, All in all i was treated very well, with dignity compassion and top class care..I am so glad i chose the Doncaster Womens Hospital for my procedure x Thank You to all the staff who work very hard and always make you feel you are the only one who matters.
