What I liked
I attended the minor injury unit due to having a bad asthma attack. The two nurses and the GP I saw were incredibly reassuring, friendly and made me feel that I was getting the very best treatment. I was discharged home but had to return due to my symptoms re-occurring.
Again the team helped me keep calm and were very reassuring and explained everything they were doing.
I then had to be admitted to hospital and transferred to FGH, the team handled this very efficiently and the ambulance arrived very quickly. The handover to the crew was dealt with brilliantly and the hospital team all wished me the best as I left for Barrow.
The crew of the ambulance also kept me calm and kept my spirits up till we arrived at FGH.
I have nothing but thanks and compliments to send to the medical team and the ambulance crew who looked after me. I felt very safe in their hands.
Sadly I did not feel that I received the same level of treatment once I arrived at FGH but that only shows what a great service I received in Kendal.
Thank you again for your care and attention, oh and of course for looking after my worried hubby too!!!
What could be improved
A ward where I could have been admitted to in Kendal, or even in Lancaster.
