"I visited the minor injuries unit ..."

What I liked

I visited the minor injuries unit was seen promptly, and shown great care and kindness by all the staff. It made me very proud of the NHS and the people who work in it.

What could be improved

I still meet people in Putney who don't know about the minor injuries unit.

Thank you for your comments on our Minor Injuries Unit at Queen Mary's. Your kind words have been passed on to our staff, who always enjoy receiving feedback from their patients.

We have publicised the unit across Wandsworth in a new booklet called "Your guide to local health services 2009." These have been distributed across all of our clinics, GP surgeries and through the local Council. For more information on our services, you can also visit www.wandsworth.nhs.uk/health/default.asp.

We would like more people to come to the Minor Injuries Unit because it provides a much faster service than an A&E, and it's local to people who live near the Putney and Roehampton area. If you have any suggestions on how we could better publicise the service, we'd be really keen to hear them - we want to involve people in our services as much as possible, and you can join one of our volunteer groups to do so.

If you are interested in sharing your views, please contact Tom Magill (our Involvement Officer) at tom.magill@wpct.nhs.uk or on 0208 812 7642.
