"I think wifi and smartphones should be allowed"

(as the patient),

very restrictive comparing with other locked rehabs I think wifi and smart phones etc should be thought about with an open mind at least rather than just a straight no as we are supposed to be going in to the real world

Thank you for taking time to register your opinion. We are always looking at the impact of new technology, and where we can adapt our processes to allow access to the internet. We have to take into consideration safety issues and confidentiality, and this means that there are often services or types of devices that we do not allow in our secure areas. However, we are trialling the use of mobile phones on some of our wards, and the outcome of this may lead to a review of the type of devices that are used.
