"Leaving party at the DRC Rampton"

About: Rampton Hospital

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

It was on a friday afternoonthat the staff took the whole of ruby ward to the DRC to celebrate a patient moving on after 11 years to a medium secure unit. the rest of the women on other wards were invited too. a good afternoon was had by all. The patients put on a spread and we all tucked in. the patient leaving was really grateful and was glad she got to say good bye to people some of whom she knew for years, some staff came to say goodbye, and she nearly shed a tear through an otherwise cheery eye!

Its always lovely to see people move on and she has inspired others and offered hope to all. we all had a lovely time, she was always grateful so I know she wouldnt mind me thanking all the staff who made her farewell happen.

thank you patient from ruby ward

Many thanks for your feedback. It is great to hear that the session was inspiring and offered hope to others. Celebrating progress and sharing success is rewarding to see. We look forward to future events where others can share stories and inspire others.
