"Endoscopy unit excellent service"

About: Eastbourne District General Hospital / General medicine

I wish to thank the doctor, the outpatient and endoscopy suite staff. Was seen in clinic on Monday and procedure the following day. Everyone was kind, courteous and respectful.

I felt reassured and well cared for by all the staff. Reception were friendly and welcoming. My only criticism would be that having witnessed a relative ask why she was waiting so long for her daughter to come through when she was told to come and collect 45 mins before. This then happened to my husband who was advised to come at a set time but I was not fully recovered and not allowed to go. A suggestion perhaps would be that the staff need to wait until a patient is ready to go and then give relatives a call to collect as my husband had to leave and return again.

Overall though this unit is very well led and exceptional thank you
