"Appalling - avoid"

About: Highfield Hospital

I had an MRI scan. I was told prior to this id have to have a blood test, which went ok. I arrived and although the receptionist was polite, getting information was a totally different story! No matter what l asked.

The procedure started and the staff didn't seem helpful. At one point l was under the MRI scanner for about 10 mins before they realised their was something wrong! I could see through the glass they were chatting, not even looking at the monitor in front of them. Then one was on her mobile phone!

They came rushing in to inform me that they could pick up my breathing! And that l wasn't breathing properly! Nothing to do with the fact they hadn't checked the monitor was on me correctly!!

I was due to have a dye they tried to get a line into me. But fail the nurse seemed like a trainee and on two occasions dropped a tray all over the floor as they were balancing it next to the MRI

They didn't hardly speak to me. I decided to give up after two failed attempts. They hardly said a word to me and was moving the needle in my hand. I had to say that hurts, could you stop please! No regard or apology!

After they had finished l struggled to get off the bed and was left to struggle!! I had to ask for the steps to be placed so l could get off the machine!

Again l seen one operative on a mobile phone! They were on it when l first entered the imagery debt!

The lack of care, consideration and professionalism was appalling!

The fact l had seen this one person on her mobile phone a few times didn't give me any peace of mind.

One person was nice, but they let me struggle off the bed.

Considering they weren't busy I'm surprised at the total lack of attention to their job and patient.

I wouldn't have another here as l didn't feel very cared for or advised.
