What I liked
v clean, professional staff and great post-c section recovery time. Staff in recovery could not have been better, despite being clearly understaffed and under-bedded. Head of midwives was most wonderful woman who genuinely helped us and came back to see us over and over which was very thoughtful. Lots of the midwives
What could be improved
pretty much left to self following discharge from recovery! Even though it was my 2 child, would have like a lot more assistance with breastfeeding etc. I had a c-section and would have expected lots of help, especially in the night for feeding etc, but had to ask a lot for any help. Also had to request painkillers whenever I wanted them, as they seemed very set upon only handing them out at allotted times, which were often running way behind the promised time. Usual conflicting advice from various staff members on issues like feeding. No real questioning about emotional health - despite previous PND.
