I have a parent in Heartlands and generally excellent care been provided can see short staffed especially poor HCA's who are nurses beck and call. Not disrespecting the nurses they do an excellent job, just an observation.
The reason why I am on here...wanted to ask a question
Since when has it been OK to put 'sluice waste' in the clinical bin with yellow bag? in the patients room especially when patient is 'room bound' due to risk of infection.
The patient was unable to sleep or rest due to smell which could have been prevented if nurses/hca removed when advised. (I know you are busy....I work in the NHS too but patient care should be priority)
Infection Control Policy - Breach
Patient Dignity Policy - Breach .... the list can easily grow.
I don't think this is acceptable
