"Thank you for doing such a sterling job"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital / Accident and emergency Musgrove Park Hospital / Trauma & Orthopaedics

(as a relative),

My sister, niece and a friend were in a car crash and taken to Musgrove Park Hospital and treated initially by A&E staff in the early hours of Wednesday 5 April. When I arrived at the hospital at around 8. 30am in the morning I was first met with a lovely receptionist who was efficient and kind and who then lead to the Resus area. The staff were amazing and I was instilled with confidence that my family were being treated and cared for by the best people possible. I'd particularly like to mention Helen (Staff Nurse) and Ben (student nurse) who were incredibly professional, compassionate, respectful and caring with a lovely sense of humour thrown in. It was traumatic seeing my lovely family in that situation but relieved that they were being treated by such an amazing team. My family were then transferred to Gould Ward and again were treated in a professional, caring and kind way. As a visitor I was also treated in a respectful and caring manner by all. Thank you for doing such a sterling job.

Thank you so much for writing in to us and telling us of your experience. A very worrying time for you and I am so pleased that the staff made you feel confident in the care we delivered. I will pass on your thanks to the staff involved.
