I was suffering from avoidance behaviour and hypersensitive to both visual and auditory stimuli. Some of these situations would exacerbate if social pressures were present that precipitated from a relatively nominal environment. I felt withdrawn when my avoidance behaviour began to become habitual; thus, I felt less inclined over time to associate with people. My studies were affected somewhat due to this regressive cycle, until I was able to assess and understand the cause of my anxiety and how it functionally differs from depression- with the help of my therapy.
