"I have nothing but praise and admiration for this great team"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Elderly Medicine (Wards 51, 52, 54,55, 57, 8a & 2a)

(as a relative),

I felt I had to write to highlight ward 56 Langlands Unit staff. I have nothing but praise and admiration for this great team.

My husband was a patient in 56 and he was pretty challenging at times with his little quirks, moans and groans and the fab staff took it all in their stride.

Whilst always remaining professional they also remained human which I feel is a fantastic attribute. My husband doesn't often smile but his eyes lit up when his 2 favourite nurses came into the room on nightshift

So please team 56 keep doing what you're doing you make such a difference.

I work in a small team within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. Part of the team’s role is to support patients and carers through our feedback systems which will help to improve the services we provide. On Patient Opinion, I support Lorna Gray, Patient Experience Public Involvement Project Manager, and Niall McGrogan, Head of Patient Experience Public Involvement.

Dear Mrs thankful

Thank you for taking the time to post on Patient Opinion. I am so pleased to read about your husband's experience of care in ward 56, especially not only the way it made him feel but the way it made you feel too.

I will ensure that your kinds words are shared with the team. They will be delighted to know that the care they provided to your husband made so much of a difference to him and to yourself.

Best wishes
Lisa
