My grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's but has severe anxiety. It took a long time to get help but unfortunately was sectioned. There followed a year of moving her from hospital to care home on more than one occasion which was distressing to watch as her husband of the same age and married over 70 yrs as watching his wife being shipped about and not get the care she needed. The care homes were just not trained to look after her properly. I must admit I had my reservations when she was to be moved again for the 7th time, but as soon as I spoke to the staff at Roseberry wing I immediately felt reassured and the staff are all highly trained and my gran has her needs met. The staff treat my gran with the care and respect she deserves in her 90s. They take everything into consideration to make sure the family and my gran are happy and her needs met. I can go home after visiting knowing she is safe and being looked after. Roseberry wing is worth its weight in gold all I can say is thank you

Thank you very much for sharing with us your experiences of your gran's care whilst in Roseberry ward at Tippethill, although I am very sorry to hear how often she was moved from hospital to care home in the last year. This must have been a really distressing time for her and everyone else in the family, especially her husband. I can understand what a relief if must be for everyone now that she is cared for in the ward.
