(as the patient),

This is to say a big thank you to the staff in the ophthalmology department at Good Hope Hospital when we visited today.

All the staff were polite, efficient and friendly and especially Mr Patel who was so professional, taking time to explain my husband’s condition and answer all our questions. There was no sense of being rushed.

We wanted to do this to show that there are excellent people working within the NHS, even though it gets such a lot of bad press.

Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to your posting.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding the care and treatment your husband received in the Ophthalmology Department at Good Hope Hospital, earlier this year.

Unfortunately we do get bad press, so it is nice for the staff to receive recognition for their hard work and dedication to the service and I am pleased that your husband had such a good experience.

It will be my pleasure to ensure your feedback is forwarded to the senior management team for Ophthalmology.
