"EKHUFT Multi Department Waiting Times"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) / Neurology

1. Trying to complain through PALS is a process that needs a complaint in itself. Ineffective and a waste of time don't cover it. I'm not trying them anymore, skip to CQC.

2. Waiting times are beyond belief.

3. NICE urgent care times don't exist.

4. A recent job description I saw said said front line staff had to have good spoken English I assume this is more in theory than practice, I have a consultant who neither I, nor my friend, can understand.

Recent waiting times for 4 departmenrs (so this isn't a one doctor problem) have been 18 weeks (sposed to be on an urgent diabetes referral) , 19 weeks, 14 weeks. And worse yet, after surgery that failed 4 month wait just to talk to the consultant about doing more surgery. And seeing a doctor for treatment, from being referred to a treatment plan (time in the middle for tests) nine months!!!!

And all I keep being told by back room staff.....too many patients, not enough staff.

Clearly this is a hospital in crisis. How they got out of Special Measures is beyond me, the CQC have clearly raken their eye off the ball.

I am sorry you have experienced such difficulties across the trust and that our PALS department have not been effective in assisting you.

We would be grateful for the opportunity to try helping you again if you experience further difficulties with communication, your appointments or waiting times.
