Today I attended Kings Mill Hospital for a TOE procedure in the Cardiac Catheter suite. On arrival at 8.30am both my husband and I were made welcome and he was given the number to call later to check if I was ready to be picked up.
I was taken to one half of the suite which was for women patients. My privacy and dignity were respected at all times. The nurses preparing me all said who they were and explained what was happening, as did the consultant. The potential risks were explained to me. The procedure went well and I received excellent post procedure care and left at 1pm.
