post strabismus surgery and despite concerns over recovery I have been left with a shrunken disfigured eye, not happy at all. I have been left with a horrible deformity which was not what I was warned against. Absolutely distraught!

Hello, my apologies for the slight delay in responding to this due to staff leave, and for the distress you are clearly feeling after your surgery. Can you please contact me straight away so we can do our best to help you? Please email me on patient.experience@bthft.nhs.uk or call me on 01274 383863 (however at the moment my line is faulty so email is better till that is fixed). Please include your name, address, date of birth and if possible your hospital number which begins RAE and will be on hospital letters.
I assure you we will investigate fully and that this will not have any negative effect on your future care. We are very concerned to hear how upset you are and hope you will get in touch.
