About: The Great Western Hospital / Accident and emergency

My family and I wanted to say thank you to the staff at Great Western Hospital for looking after my Aunt.

The staff in the Resus area of A & E were so kind both to me and my Aunt when she was admitted. And the staff In Saturn ward tried so hard to save her and, when they did all they could, they were so considerate to me and my sister.

The doctors, in particular, were frustrated that they couldn’t help her more and we appreciate that they tried.

We stayed with her until she died, and the staff did all they could to make sure she was comfortable and not in any pain. Their care was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt that our Aunt was treated with dignity and compassion to the end.

So, thank you to everyone involved in her care.
