What I liked

from when I opted to go to this hospital I was assessed and had my op all within a month and I delayed the op by a week! If I had gone to my local hospital it would have been at least a 5 month wait. I was so impressed not only with the cleanliness (the floors shone even in the corners- I looked!). All the nurses/doctors colleages etc were exceptional from the time I arrived to saying goodbye and take care at the car. This has been my first op and I was very nervous and anxious. I need not have worried the male nurse who came and put the plastic thing in the back of my hand was fantastic and was constantly putting me at ease, and in recovery the polish nurse who was assigned to me was excellent, pain what pain! she dealt with it straight away. These are just two of the best hospital staff I have met. If you are considering going to this hospital for treatment i would just like to say for me it was the right decision, no Mrsa or c diff since they opened in 2005, excellent treatment considering my worries, and excellent after care. I understand there is going to be a similar treatment centre opening in my local area in Emersons Green in November, I hope they can come close to the care, consideration and respect that Shepton Mallett offers.
